New York City, the city that never sleeps—apparently, neither do the skies above it.
On the evening of April 8, 2025, a passenger departing from LaGuardia Airport captured jaw-dropping footage of what appears to be a UFO hovering motionlessly over the skyline. The object, which glowed faintly against the haze of the city lights, reportedly remained in place for several minutes before vanishing without a trace.
The video, which quickly went viral after being posted to Instagram via the New York Post, shows the classic hallmarks of a potential unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP): no sound, no visible propulsion, and an eerily stable position in the air.
Eyewitnesses on the ground echoed the account, with some claiming to see a “metallic glint” and others describing it as a “floating light that pulsed slowly.”
Of course, skeptics were quick to point toward drones, weather balloons, or aircraft illusions—but in typical UFO fashion, no solid explanations have emerged. The FAA hasn’t released a statement. NORAD is silent. And the internet is buzzing.
Could it be surveillance tech? A military prototype? Or something… off-world?
For now, the skies over NYC keep their secrets. But one thing’s for sure—on April 8, millions looked up and saw something that didn’t belong.
