Pentagon Releases Striking 2020 UAP Footage Showing Towering Two-Tiered Object

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon has opened another chapter in America’s long-running UFO mystery, releasing a fourth collection of government documents, photographs and military videos concerning unidentified anomalous phenomena—better known to the public as UFOs.

Among the newly disclosed materials is a particularly clear infrared recording captured in 2020 by a sensor aboard a United States military platform operating within the area overseen by U.S. Northern Command.

The footage shows a large, unusual object with what appears to be a two-tiered or stacked structure. Its strange outline has quickly attracted attention across social media, where viewers have compared it to everything from an unconventional aircraft to a floating platform of unknown design.

The video was brought to wider public attention by the X account MJTruthUltra, which described it as one of the clearest recordings contained in the Pentagon’s latest release.

According to accompanying military documentation identified as DOW-UAP-D091, witnesses described the object as being dark or maroon in color and approximately 12 to 15 feet tall.

The report also stated that the object appeared to travel in the same direction as the wind. It reportedly made no obvious maneuvers, displayed no sudden changes in direction and exhibited no immediately apparent form of propulsion.

Those details prompted military personnel to consider the possibility that the object may have been a large, unusually shaped balloon.
That explanation, however, does not completely settle the matter.

The peculiar two-level appearance visible in the infrared footage remains difficult to interpret. Infrared cameras do not necessarily produce an ordinary photographic representation of an object. Heat signatures, atmospheric conditions, distance, sensor focus and image processing can all alter an object’s apparent shape.

What looks like a solid mechanical structure might therefore be an ordinary object distorted by the sensor—or it could be something more unusual.

The latest Pentagon release reportedly contains 40 separate files, including 14 documents, 19 videos, four audio recordings and three images gathered from several government agencies. The material covers incidents dating from the early years of the Cold War through recent military encounters.

The government has not declared the object extraterrestrial, nor has it offered evidence that it represents technology belonging to another nation. The official record simply leaves the incident within the broader category of unidentified or unresolved aerial observations.

The release is part of an expanding public archive managed through the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, commonly known as AARO. Many of the records involve military sensors, trained observers and restricted operating areas, though AARO cautions that some uploaded materials possess incomplete chains of custody or limited supporting data.

For the moment, the towering object captured in 2020 remains a curious figure in the sky—perhaps a balloon, perhaps a sensor illusion, or perhaps something not yet adequately explained.

The Pentagon has released the evidence.

Now the public may examine it for itself.
